14th & Union Jewelry Collection – Men’s Accessories

★★★★★4.8· thousands of reviews

We designed this stainless steel chain necklace for guys who want something understated but distinct. The brushed finish catches light without glaring, and the medium-gauge links sit flat against the collarbone—whether layered or worn alone.

Made from hypoallergenic 316L stainless steel, it resists tarnish and holds up to daily wear without the upkeep of sterling silver. The lobster clasp is spring-loaded for secure closure, and the 20-inch length works under a T-shirt or over an open collar. Our 14th & Union jewelry collection focuses on pieces that move between casual and dressed-up settings without looking out of place in either.

Materials and construction standards

Every piece in the 14th & Union jewelry line uses materials selected for longevity rather than trend cycles. Stainless steel components meet 316L marine-grade specs, which means they resist saltwater corrosion and won’t discolor from sweat or humidity. Titanium pieces are machined from Grade 5 bar stock—the same alloy used in aircraft fasteners—giving you scratch resistance without the weight of precious metals.

Leather goods start as vegetable-tanned hides, a slower tanning process that avoids the chemical shortcuts of chrome tanning. The result is leather that breathes, develops a patina, and can be reconditioned with standard leather balm. Hardware—clasps, shackles, and closures—is secured with marine-grade adhesive and mechanical crimps, not just stitching that can fray over time.

Sizing and fit guidance
Sizing & fit

Sizing and fit guidance

Necklaces in our collection default to 20-inch lengths, which sits at the collarbone on most builds. If you typically wear a size large or extra-large shirt, the included 2-inch extender will likely stay fastened; medium and small builds often leave it unhooked. Chain necklaces should have enough slack to lift an inch away from the skin when pulled—tight enough to stay in place, loose enough to avoid choking during movement.

Bracelets follow wrist circumference rather than watch sizing. Measure around the widest part of your wrist bone with a flexible tape measure, then add half an inch for leather wraps and a quarter-inch for metal links. The magnetic clasp on our wrap bracelet adjusts by repositioning the magnet along the leather, so one size genuinely fits wrists from 6.5 to 8 inches. Metal bracelets arrive pre-sized but include removal links and a small flathead tool.

Styling

Care and maintenance

Stainless steel and titanium pieces require almost no maintenance. Wipe them with a damp microfiber cloth to remove skin oils and dust; for deeper cleaning, use warm water and a drop of dish soap, then dry immediately. Avoid ultrasonic cleaners and steam, which can loosen adhesive bonds in clasps. Store metal pieces in a soft pouch to prevent surface scratches from contact with other jewelry.

Leather bracelets benefit from occasional conditioning with a leather balm or beeswax-based product—apply a thin layer, let it absorb for ten minutes, then buff off the excess. This keeps the leather supple and slows drying. Avoid submerging leather in water; if it gets wet, pat dry and let it air-dry away from direct heat. Vegetable-tanned leather will darken naturally with sun exposure and hand oils, which is expected and considered desirable.

Chain necklace holds up beautifully
I’ve worn the stainless steel chain daily for six months—still looks new. No tarnish, no discoloration, and the clasp hasn’t loosened. It’s the first necklace I haven’t had to baby.

Leather wrap gets better over time
The leather darkened after a few weeks and now has this lived-in look that actually improves the piece. The magnetic clasp is strong enough that I forget it’s there until I take it off.

Titanium ring is impressively light
I wear my wedding band to work in a machine shop, and gold was a non-starter. This titanium ring weighs almost nothing but feels solid. No scratches after three months of hard use.

Paracord bracelet looks better than expected
I bought this thinking it would be too tactical, but the black oxide hardware makes it look refined. Wore it to a client meeting and got compliments. Only wish it came in more colors.

Perfect weight for everyday wear
The chain necklace has enough heft that it feels substantial but doesn’t pull on my neck during a long day. I layer it with a leather cord and they don’t tangle.

Gift-ready packaging was a nice touch
Bought the wrap bracelet as a gift and didn’t need to repackage it—the box and pouch looked premium. My brother loved it and wears it constantly.

Good to know

Common questions about 14th & Union jewelry

Stainless steel and titanium pieces resist tarnish indefinitely because they don’t oxidize the way silver or brass does. Leather will darken naturally as oils from your skin absorb into the hide, which is a normal part of the aging process for vegetable-tanned leather. Black oxide coatings on steel may wear through at high-friction points after years of use, revealing bright metal underneath, but this is gradual and doesn’t affect function.

Metal pieces—stainless steel, titanium, and paracord with stainless hardware—are water-safe and won’t corrode from sweat, rain, or brief submersion. You can shower and swim with them on. Leather bracelets should be removed before swimming or showering, as prolonged water exposure breaks down the natural oils and can cause cracking. If leather gets wet incidentally, pat it dry and let it air-dry away from heat.

Wrap a strip of paper snugly around the base of your ring finger, mark where it overlaps, then measure the length in millimeters. Divide that number by 3.14 to get the diameter, then match it to a ring sizing chart. Size 9 corresponds to roughly 19mm diameter. If you’re between sizes, round up for comfort-fit bands like our titanium ring, since the domed interior feels tighter than a flat band of the same size.

Stainless steel, titanium, and nylon paracord are all hypoallergenic and safe for people with nickel allergies. We use 316L stainless steel, which contains trace nickel but in such low concentrations that it rarely triggers reactions. Titanium contains no nickel and is biocompatible enough to be used in surgical implants. Leather can cause irritation if you’re allergic to tannins, but vegetable tanning uses tree bark extracts rather than heavy metals, which reduces the likelihood.

Bracelets with link construction can be shortened by removing links using the included flathead tool—instructions are printed on the packaging insert. Leather wrap bracelets adjust by repositioning the magnetic clasp along the leather strand. Rings cannot be resized after purchase because titanium and stainless steel are too hard for traditional jeweler resizing techniques. Necklaces include extender chains for minor length adjustments.

Store each piece in the included microfiber pouch to prevent surface scratches. Keep pouches in a drawer or box away from direct sunlight and humidity. Leather items should be conditioned with leather balm before long-term storage to prevent drying. Metal pieces need no special preparation for storage and can sit indefinitely without tarnishing. Avoid piling multiple pieces together without separation, as metal-on-metal contact will scratch brushed finishes over time.

We currently do not offer in-house engraving, but titanium and stainless steel pieces can be engraved by most jewelers who have a laser engraving machine. Bring the item to a local jeweler with your desired text—common choices are initials, dates, or coordinates. Engraved items cannot be returned or exchanged, so finalize your sizing and design before engraving.
